'History has forsaken us, but it doesn't matter'.

'Pachinko' begins with a strong first sentence and depicts the epic of a Korean immigrant family.

The novel begins with the story of a Japanese boy of Korean descent that the author came across.

[Lee Min-jin / Writer: A boy jumped off the roof of an apartment one day and ended his life. (In the graduation album) Japanese students wrote things like, 'Go back to where you came from', 'I hate you', and 'I smell like kimchi'. I have a son, and it's unimaginable to lose a child at the age of 13.]

It took nearly 30 years for the story to come out in a book, but it didn't take long for it to sweep the world.

A novel written by a Korean-American author was first recognized by American critics and readers, and was nominated for the National Book Award, and received attention when recommended by former US President Barack Obama.

In March, it was also released as a drama and was evaluated as 'the most Korean and global series'.

This novel focuses on how education in Korea affects social status and sometimes oppresses people.

As in 'Pachinko', this time, the Korean language was used in 'American Academy'.

[Lee Min-jin/Writer: I think people around the world should know what the word 'academy' is. Because 'hakwon' is an important word for understanding Koreans.] The

artist says that through her work 파칭코사이트인포, she hopes that Koreans, as well as the world, will deeply understand Korea.

[Lee Min-jin/Writer: Tell all readers, 'I want to make you Korean'. It's like being Russian when you read Tolstoy's and British when you read Charles Dickens. That is the power of literature.]
